Academic Skill Building Teams:
Certified school day teachers and other extensively trained staff work with enrolled students to improve their academic skills. Staff receive academic data specific to students with whom they work with so that activities that meet individual needs can be prepared. This data includes past and present report cards, state standarized test results for ELA and math, DIBELS scores, and ongoing suggestions from school day classroom teachers. Homework is not a primary focus of the program which focuses more on building/improving specific academic skills vital to student success. Group sizes remain small (not to exceed 10 students) so that an individual experience can remain intact. Technological resources such as computers and smart boards are available for staff/student use. Creative academic activities are utilized, creating a fun educational experience!
